Description
As a technology and solutions company, our goal is to fundamentally change how needs (and wants) get exchanged through a marketplace that meshes eCommerce and fundraising into a patented and highly scalable method. From digital drives to online registries, the platform is built to revolutionize the way we tangible needs globally and effectively better the business of giving.
As a 'walled garden', the model captures revenue from both the sale of products and traditional percentage points on transactions.
What We Solve:
The business provides a central destination where tangible needs get met online. In our current landscape, there is a lack of a central destination for people to see the needs around them and fund them in a trusted, transparent, and highly efficient manner.
Needs are currently dispersed across multiple non-profit websites, representing an antiquated method of achieving results. The business delivers this capability through meshing consumer shopping, with product fundraising to deliver the most tangible fundraising experience for both individuals and civic/NFP organizations. Effectively bringing all constituents together through a collective impact marketplace.
The patent is also open with continuance. This provides the acquirer a clear path to carving out more of the innovation, further market capture and long-term monetization.

Asking price reasoning
In 2019 a 3rd party valuation was performed by a notable firm after the patent was awarded. The valuation was set at $100MM based on the early launch revenue of $1.75MM, patent being awarded and opening the platform to consumers (B2C) and nonprofits (B2B).
The valuation was deemed to be conservative when looking at the value of the venture on a global scale, with the device, method and stack to be replicable across countries, along with the licensing opportunity of the patent and technology to be repackaged and distributed in a white label capacity.
The offering has been assigned to open to offers based on acknowledging that the valuation does not determine the selling price. The founder sees this offering as a strategic opportunity for a buyer to carve out a large and growing market (within online giving, ESG, supply chain and eCommerce) which opens doors to working and partnering with premier brands and 3rd party resellers.

Full mobile designs are provided as part of the acquisition. Mobile app development was started in React Native which interfaces with the Magento platform, providing a different entry point for creating and launching fundraising campaigns.
The platform rests on an open MIT license of Magento 1.9, which provides a clear pathway to be upgraded to the open license of Magento 2.0 (Composer). This open stack provides for a large library of themes to be applied with vast portability, scalability and manageability (CMS, Mgmt. Console, Support Community). This provides the acquirer with a reliable framework to continue to advance and maintain the platform for long-term scale, minimizes dependencies by owning the technology outright and ongoing.

Customer Engagement
As a B2B and B2C marketplace the platform delivers a win-win scenario for participants.
Nonprofits, Civics Orgs and NGOs (B2B):
The business offers a powerful fundraising tool and marketplace that is fully impact-driven. Raise money for goods and services for projects and programs. We serve the nonprofit and civic sector in ways that create exponential impact and cost savings around tangible goods.
Consumers (B2C):
Everyday citizens shop and fundraise on the business making it open to all. As a central destination to give, gift, fundraise and shop, the platform extends itself to be used in the same capacity for their own needs and fundraising projects.
Brands/Suppliers:
The business provides an effective sales channel to serve communities at scale - enabling companies and 3rd party resellers to do well by doing good in a 24x7 capacity through unique sales promotions for the nonprofit and civic sector.
Revenue Model:
It generates revenue from the sale of products to the B2C and B2B market, combined with fundraising fees associated from fundraising. Users create “need campaigns” in which funds accrue inside in a digital ledger (store credit) for purchasing merchandise from the marketplace.
The model provides captured revenue from both fundraising transactions (%) and margin on the sale of goods. Further, the technology and patent extend monetization opportunities for the solution to be white-labeled or licensed for 3rd party implementations.
