Despite improving all our other KPIs including ARPU, subscriber base and retention to good levels, we've determined that selling the app is the right decision because we alone cannot generate the necessary growth due to our limited marketing expertise and budget constraints. The shifting app landscape has created significant challenges, as declining organic App Store traffic has forced us to rely more heavily on paid acquisition channels — a strategy we're not equipped to execute effectively with our current resources and capabilities.
Over the years, we've invested in various marketing initiatives with external companies like Adjust in 2019 and brought in marketing consultants in 2022 to launch campaigns across social media and App Store Search, but these efforts haven't yielded sustainable growth. After more than a decade of building and evolving this authentic yoga app across multiple platforms — including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android, and web — and executing various marketing strategies in collaboration with Apple, influencers, and media, we believe it's time for new ownership with stronger marketing capabilities and greater financial resources to take it to its next level of success.
